Rules of Video Poker

When a player is set to play, he or she just clicks the button marked "deal draw" to receive his cards. The concept in draw poker or video poker is to come up with the winning combination. A player can improve his chances of winning by holding certain card and dumping others. The dumped cards will be replaced with new cards after clicking the "deal draw" button once again.

The steps in playing video poker are as follows:

- First insert the money into the machine

- Second is pressing the "deal draw" button

- Third, after receiving the cards, decide which cards should be kept and press the button marked hold.

- Fourth, press the button marked "deal/draw" again.

- Fifth, continue with these steps as long as you are enjoying and winning.

- Sixth, Press the "cash out "or "credit "button when you wan to end the game.

Sometimes the player has the option in draw poker to double the money in the second round. This is called a "Double Playoff Round." Otherwise if the player doesn't want to play the second round, one can easily click on the button marked "collect" to receive the winnings.

Remember to play in the Double Playoff Round, a player must click on the button marked "double" first then the cards will be turned face down and then a card will be flipped by the machine. In the double playoff round betting will be on the next card that the machine will flip, whether the card is either higher or lower than the card originally flipped so if the next card flipped by the machine is higher than the original card, the player wins and double his winnings but if the next card flipped is lower, he or she loses money. If the card flipped is same card, it will become a "push" where nobody wins and loses.

In draw poker the common winning combinations are as follows:

• Kings or Better-The kings and higher is considered the only winning hand. • Jacks or Better- In the video poker, this pair only counts if the cards the player has are Jacks or higher than the jacks and the lower cards is the losing hand. • Two Pair- where there are two sets of pairs of cards having equal values. • Three of a Kind- there should be three cards having equal values. • Four of a Kind- there should be four cards having the equal value. • Five of a Kind - there are four cards having the equal values with the addition of the wild card. • Flush- There are five cards not in consecutive order. They should be of the same suit and should not be dependent on the value. • Straight- There are five cards in consecutive order and not of equal suits. • Royal Flush- There should be five cards in consecutive order. All of the cards have equal suits, the first cards should be the ten and the last one should be the ace. • Wild Royal Flush - This is the same as the royal flush but the difference is that there is a wild card involved. • Straight Flush- There should be five cards of equal suits and in consecutive order.
