Roulette Betting
Generally, roulette tables in Nevada casinos are at the $1 minimum table limit. Few casinos also provide the 50-cent version of the game, and some even a 25-cent minimum bet. You must be aware that your winnings are based on a $1 minimum bet. So, if the amount of your bet is 50 cents, any payoff you get will be half in value of the total amount of winnings you would have received if you bet the $1 standard and for 25-cent bets this will be one-fourth of that value.
Since Roulette chips don't have their amount written on them, the dealer determines them by their colors. If at the roulette table were three players, in addition to you, and all joined in for $20 worth of $1 chips, the dealer would not be able to tell them apart if the chips were all in the same color. The $1 chips used in other table games are usually all in the same color, generally off-white or cream. If all the players at this table had them, how would the croupier or dealer, or even the players themselves for that matter, tell who won?
In this example, you can have your roulette chips in, say, yellow, the second player in blue, the third in green, and the last player in brown. This then separates you apart. If you win, your colored chips will indicate you as the winner, and you will receive chips of the same color as a payoff. As long as you play at this particular table, the color designated to you will be yours.
Bets can be made in a number of ways, and are customarily divided into two groups: "inside" and "outside" wagers. "Inside bets" are wagers placed within the numbered grid on the table, and bets placed outside the grid are called "Outside Bets". For example, a wager placed on the number ten will be an inside bet, then a bet on the red will be an outside bet. The basic dissimilarities between inside and outside wagers lie in the amount of your bet and how much you can win. Roulette table limits for the inside bets are usually, $1 minimum up to $100 maximum on any single number and up to $2,500 in an overall spread, while table limits for the outside bets are usually $5 minimum up to $5,000 or more for the maximum. Inside bets usually pay more, but are harder to win. Outside bets generally pay less, but win more regularly.
Roulette gives the casino a solid 5.26 percent advantage against the player. This advantage is steady on all roulette bets at every rotation of the wheel. It can be so constant because each new spin of the Roulette wheel is a new event. The roulette wheel and the ball do not remember any previous events therefore casino's Roulette is one of the games that gives constant house wins. This casino advantage is based from the use of single 0 and double 00 wheel. Since there are a total of 38 numbers which can eventually become a winning number, players are only paid at 35:1 on any straight-up single number bet, and lower still for split bets and quads. This is different for European Roulette, which only employs the single 0. In this game the house advantage is only 2.7 percent overall.
